Important Changes to Road Tolls in Slovenia, Effective 1 November 2025
We would like to inform you that, starting from 1 November 2025, CO₂-based road tolling will be introduced in Slovenia.
The new regulation applies to all vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes that were first registered after 1 July 2019.
What do you need to know?
For users of DarsGo OBU devices
All vehicles equipped with a DarsGo OBU device are automatically assigned to CO₂ emission class 1, which may result in higher road toll costs.
Starting from 1 October 2025, customers can request that their vehicle be assigned to a higher CO₂ emission class, namely classes 2–5, via the official website of Slovenia’s road toll operator, DarsGo.

For users of DKV Box Europe devices
If the required vehicle documents have already been uploaded to DKV Cockpit, no further action is required on your part.
However, we recommend checking that the uploaded documents are correct and complete.
If the documents have not yet been uploaded, please add them to DKV Cockpit or contact your Affinity agent.
Required documents
The following documents are required to determine the vehicle’s CO₂ emission class:
- Vehicle registration certificate;
- One of the following documents:
- CoC – Certificate of Conformity, or
- CIF – Manufacturer Identification Certificate.
