| Effective September 1, 2025, road tolls in Bulgaria for heavy vehicles (over 3.5 metric tons) will increase by up to 8.68%, according to Decree No. 20 of March 31, 2025. This increase applies to highways, Class I, and Class II roads. Important Information to Note New Rates: Based on distance traveled, vehicle category (truck/bus), weight, number of axles, and EURO emission class. Payment options: DKV Box Europe: Automatic toll payments with invoicing and eREPORTING. Route Pass: Prepaid for specific routes, available via www.bgtoll.bg, the BG Toll app, or terminals. Penalties: No valid toll: 1,800 BGN (~920 EUR). Incorrect vehicle data: 2,500 BGN (~1,275 EUR). Pay the tolls within 14 days to avoid fines. Non-compliance is monitored by over 300 cameras and more than 100 mobile units.
