Important Changes to Road Tolls in Slovenia, Effective 1 November 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to inform you that, starting from 1 November 2025<\/strong>, CO\u2082-based road tolling<\/strong> will be introduced in Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new regulation applies to all vehicles with a maximum permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 tonnes<\/strong> that were first registered after 1 July 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you need to know?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For users of DarsGo OBU devices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All vehicles equipped with a DarsGo OBU device<\/strong> are automatically assigned to CO\u2082 emission class 1<\/strong>, which may result in higher road toll costs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from 1 October 2025<\/strong>, customers can request that their vehicle be assigned to a higher CO\u2082 emission class, namely classes 2\u20135<\/strong>, via the official website of Slovenia\u2019s road toll operator, DarsGo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For users of DKV Box Europe devices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If the required vehicle documents have already been uploaded to DKV Cockpit<\/strong>, no further action is required<\/strong> on your part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we recommend checking that the uploaded documents are correct and complete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the documents have not yet been uploaded, please add them to DKV Cockpit<\/strong> or contact your Affinity agent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The following documents are required to determine the vehicle\u2019s CO\u2082 emission class:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Vehicle registration certificate<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • One of the following documents:<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • CoC \u2013 Certificate of Conformity<\/strong>, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n
