For fleets that frequently use this route, there is also an automatic payment option available through providers listed on the e-TOL platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u23f1\ufe0f An advantage for transport to Rotterdam<br>According to official information, the route between Vlaardingen and Rozenburg via the A24 is approximately 12 km long\u2014compared to about 20 km via the previous route\u2014and the estimated travel time (barring traffic jams) drops from around 19 minutes to 12 minutes.<br>For international transport operations, choosing this route can offer advantages regarding transit time and access to the Port of Rotterdam; however, the cost of the road toll should also be taken into account. \u26a0\ufe0f Note on maintenance work<br>Dutch authorities have scheduled further temporary closures of the A24 for maintenance work in 2026. During these times, traffic is primarily rerouted via the A20, A4, and A15, and drivers should anticipate potential delays.<br>Our recommendation: always check current traffic conditions and any ongoing work on the A24 before setting off, especially for shipments with strict delivery deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u26a0\ufe0f Important: the A24 toll cannot be paid using on-board truck tolling units.
